Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge

We had much better success with the Blackstone Griddle this morning!  Stu made bacon and we tried out "griddle biscuits" (smashed biscuits cooked on both sides).  We went on the 10 am walking tour and learned even more about the animals.  We took the truck into Eureka Springs and parked the truck at a "park and ride" lot so we could take the trolley around the town.  For $6 you can buy a day pass!  We stopped at the Crescent Hotel and a staff member was really nice and showed us the Player Pianos -- one was even commissioned for the titanic but wasn't finished in time.  The Crescent is supposedly the most haunted hotel in America.  Apparently while we were there they had uncovered a bunch of specimens buried underground.  There was an article on CNN about it -- it used to be run by a doctor trying to do cancer research.  The wait for the trolly was long, so we hopped off and took a short hike to a playground in Harmon Park.  We got back on the trolley and rode into town for funnel cakes and root beer floats.  Poor Lucy ended up with a case of pinkeye so we headed back to the campsite to relax.  Pradit and I saw the behavioral training one more time and Stu cooked burgers on the grill.  I set up an Easter Egg hunt for the kids and they played Uno while we chatted by the fire.  We slept with the windows open and we could hear the cats calling to each other at night - it's called caroling.  Next time, we'll reserve site number 1 -- it's directly next to the tiger enclosure.  What a trip!
